Calibration

Post-installation calibration is carried out on both the Audio and Video system to truly gain the full potential from the electronics and loudspeakers that have been specified in a design. HAA and THX / ISF calibrations are recommended on both the audio and video systems to finely tune the system to its most optimum potential.

Video Calibration

Our eyes perceive blue added to white as brighter - TV shoppers stop and look at the brightest, vivid and most garish looking blue image. Just because they are set this way in the showroom does not mean that it's the way they should be in your home still set to the default setting designed for retail lighting conditions. The colours will not be displaying correctly, the gamma will be skewed, the white balance will be off, and the dynamic range will be wrong. A properly calibrated picture reveals the full detail in the darkest parts of a movie or the brightest parts of an outdoor sporting event. Nature programming will have vibrant, lifelike colors, your favorite team’s uniforms will look like the real deal and movies will be just the way the director intended you to see them. You’ll be able to distinguish the subtle differences in flesh tones among people and fast action motion in movies and sports will look more natural and be easier on your eyes. It’s absolutely the best investment you can make to improve the picture quality of your flat panel or projector that’s the centerpiece of your home entertainment system for your family’s year round viewing enjoyment.

Calibration involves assessing the lighting conditions of the room and using test equipment including a UHD signal generator, colour analyser and dedicated software to optimize the Brightness, Contrast, Gamma, Color Temperature, CMS (Colour Management System) adjustment, Tint & Sharpness.
